AFC Wimbledon’s recent resurgence came to an end with a heavy defeat at Accrington on Tuesday night.

Francis Jeffers (5) scored his first Accrington goal early on when he beaten the offside trap to fire home with Jeffers (19) adding another soon after. Having been initially denied by John Sullivan the former England international followed up to head home.

Will Hatfield (32) added a third shortly after the half hour mark to ensure another three-goal first half haul for Stanley.

Wimbledon were denied a consolation in the second half when Kevin Sainte-Luce hit a post but Stanley were well in control by that point and secured a 4-0 win through Lee Molyneux (64) just past the hour mark.
