It’s cup action for Accrington on Tuesday as the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy gets underway for another season.

Accrington welcome managerless Carlisle Untied to the Crown Ground tonight as we look to advance in the JPT this evening.

Illness has swept through the squad this week, forcing four players to miss training.

Luke Simpson (suspension) is available but he wasn’t included in the squad that lost to Bury at the weekend, he could return though with Michael Liddle (knock) also back in training.

Paul Thirlwell is the player/caretaker after the sacking of Graham Kavanagh following a five-nil defeat to Cambridge United but looks to be without Sean O’Hanlon (ankle) and Danny Kearns (thigh), added to the already absent Courtney Meppen-Walter (knee), Troy Archibald-Henville (shin), Mark Beck (ear) and Matty Robson (knee).
