Stoke City striker James Alabi has joined Accrington Stanley on a one month initial loan spell.

The 19 year old is a regular in their U21 side and has previously had loan spells out with Scunthorpe, Mansfield and Forest Green Rovers last season.

He has been handed the No 23 shirt.

Manager James Beattie said of the deal to the Official Site.

‘We are pleased to have James on board. He’s a strong centre forward who will be a good addition to our squad.’

Alabi’s clearance came through in time for him to make his debut for us in yesterday’s loss to Southend United, where he came on the pitch with 12 minutes of the game remaining.
