LEICESTER City gaffer Martin Allen has warned the Foxes that they can’t expect Stanley to be pushovers at the Fraser Eagle Stadium in the Carling Cup First Round.

Last season Stanley of course turned in to giant killers for a night as a Paul Mullin goal plunged Nottingham Forest out of the trophy in the First Round.

The Reds then took Premiership side Watford to the penalty spot in the Second Round after a goalless 120 minutes at Vicarage Road, but ended the night losing by a single penalty.

The new Foxes gaffer Allen, of course managed Stanley’s League Two rivals MK Dons last season, and so knows that his side can’t take anything for granted.

‘They are competitive, hard, strong and will always have a go,’ Said the Leicester Chief.

‘Any team that has been promoted from the Conference is tough. That is one hard division to get out of, and their manager John Coleman has that on his CV.

‘He is very astute and he has a tendency to get good, young, hard-working players. They will be no pushover.’

The game will take place on Tuesday 14th August with a kick off time of 7:45 PM at the Fraser Eagle Stadium.
