ACCRINGTON STANLEY goalkeeper Kenny Arthur could be just one month away from a return to the Stanley squad, after suffering a broken leg during Stanley’s 3-0 away victory over Bradford City.

The injury came at the beginning of October as former Partick Thistle stopper, Arthur, went to collect the ball.

The big Scot took part in Stanley’s pre-match warm up at The Fraser Eagle Stadium, before Stanley’s game with Chester City, and is getting used to the impact of hitting the ground again after almost four months on the sidelines.

The 29-year-old will be returning to Lilleshall shortly though as he continues on the road to recovery via his rehabilitation course.

But the call ‘Number 1… Kenny Arthur’ could be being called out sooner than you think at Accrington Stanley.
