ACCRINGTON STANLEY goalkeeper Kenny Arthur will undergo an operation early next week after braking his fibula bone in his leg during the 3-0 victory over Bradford.

The shot stopper who joined Accrington from Partick Thistle had been in top form so far this season since joining on a free in the summer.

He is expected to be out for up to three or four months, and will be replaced in the Stanley squad by Ian Dunbavin, with youngster Martin Fearon stepping up to the substitutes bench.

Ian Craney who was also stretchered off for the game is thought to have suffered a minor injury and shouls be back for the trip to Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday 14th October.

Get well soon lads.
