The August nominations for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month Award are:
James Collins (Luton Town) – striker
His new career at Kenilworth Road could not have begun better than a hat-trick in Luton`s 8-2 opening day win over Yeovil. The rampaging striker then scored against Colchester and Mansfield, too, to make it five in four games.
Kayden Jackson (Accrington Stanley) – striker
Signed from Barnsley in the summer, the 23-year-old scored four goals in as many games to begin his Stanley career. Direct, quick and full of running, his link-up play is shown by the understanding he has already formed with Billy Kee.
Joe Jacobson (Wycombe Wanderers) – full-back
While Wycombe conceded 10 goals in August, they scored just as many and Jacobson made a remarkable impact from left-back, with three goals and two assists. They included a pair of free-kicks, including a sumptuous 25-yard curler against Notts County.
Frank Nouble (Newport County) – striker
The numbers speak for themselves from the most prolific month of the 25-year-old`s career to date. Five goals and an assist in four games included a 13-minute hat-trick against Chesterfield, which featured an unstoppable 25-yarder into the top corner.
Winners will be announced on Friday 8th September 2017.
