A thumping 4-1 loss to newly promoted Newport today hasn’t put James Beattie in the best of moods, but he knows we have scope to improve.

Speaking to the press following the game the manager said.

‘We’re disappointed with the result and not to get off to a good start, but we didn’t deal with the balls into our box. We said they weren’t going to score with the flick on, it was the second ball we needed to win. We didn’t do that in either half. We didn’t deal with it. Our defensive performance wasn’t good enough.’
