Accrington manager James Beattie has been rewarded for our turn around in league fortunes of late with a nomination for the Manager of the Month Award.

Few would’ve seen that coming as we entered the month of October, but the manager has turned around our form, got the players fighting and playing with some spirit and given our position at the beginning of the month, he certainly has to be a favourite I would suspect simply based on the change around.

Stanley obviously went four unbeaten in October, and we picked up two wins in the process against Bristol Rovers and Morecambe.

Beattie finds himself challenged by Wayne Burnett of Dagenham and Redbridge, Colin Cooper of Hartlepool and Gary Rowett of Burton Albion.

The winner of the Award will be announced this coming Friday (November 8th).

Good luck James, you’ve earned it.
