Accrington Stanley have announced that they will be giving hundred of Hyndburn schoolkids the opportunity to claim a free season ticket at the club for the coming campaign.

The offer will be made to all year six pupils and the drive to attract the next generation to Stanley began at our spiritual home at Peel Park this afternoon.

37 schools in the area will receive details of the offer and speaking to the Official Site manager James Beattie was delighted with the idea from the club.

‘Attracting the next generation of supporters is key for us. We think that it’s really important to show these kids that there’s League football just down the road and hopefully they will come down and really enjoy what they see.’

Beattie goes on to say that he imagines a lot of people in the local area have a ‘soft spot’ for the club, but he appreciates that even at our level football is an expensive game for families, so he hopes that this is a key step in getting people through the turnstiles and helping them to become regular or at least more regular at the stadium.
