Accrington Stanley assistant manager Jimmy Bell today said Stanley have a 75% chance of signing an un-named midfielder in time for Saturday’s clash with Notts County.

Bell seemed in a confident mood as he spoke to a reporter from The Lancashire Evening Telegraph. Bell however did concede that John Coleman has a tough task in persuading targets to join Stanley.

The Reds are also eyeing up moves for a centre-forward and two centre-halves.

‘These are long-term targets of ours,’ said Bell.

‘But it really is difficult bringing them here when we get bad publicity.

‘When someone like Dennis Wise criticised our ground earlier this season, those sort of comments add up.’
