Accrington Stanley vs Blackburn Rovers
‘Save Our Stanley’ Friendly Match
The Crown Ground, Accrington
Tuesday 13th October
Kick Off 7-45pm.
SAM Allardyce looks set to bring a first team squad to the Crown Ground for the game which takes place early next week, after opting to help Stanley out in their time of need.
Rovers clash with arch rivals Burnley in the Premier League a week on Sunday, so Big Sam will be hoping for no fresh injuries when the two sides meet, so even though it is a friendly, the game really is there for the taking for the Reds.
Speaking to the Official website, Chief Executive Robert Heys said: ‘It is a great move from Blackburn and Sam to bring a side across, that will be made up of their first team squad who aren’t away on international duty.
‘People often think that being so close to two Premiership sides is a problem for us, however our neighbours have been superb in their support for Accrington Stanley at this dificult time.’
