Wigan Athletic defender Adam Buxton joined Accrington Stanley on loan prior to the game against Chesterfield.
The 21 year old joins us on an emergency loan basis for a month, and he’s the former captain of their U21 side and was promoted to their first team during pre season for their tour of America.
Earlier in 2013-14 he spent time on loan at Burton Albion gaining League Two experience, but did only play one game in their FA Cup defeat to Bournemouth that I can tell.
He obviously debuted for us in the three one win over Chesterfield last weekend.
He is predominantly a right back, but he can occupy any position along the back four and his versatility is no doubt a draw for manager James Beattie.
