WREXHAM last night saw their Football League status come to an end, as the Welsh men crashed to a 2-0 home defeat against Play-Off contenders Hereford United.

The club went into administration in December 2004 whilst under the watchful eye of former chairman Alex Hamilton.

Relegation to the Blue SQuare Premier ends Wrexham’s proud 87-year membership of the Football League, something which has been overlooked by the ongoings off the field.

Vital Accrington Stanley would like to wish Brian Little and his boys the best of luck next season.
