Peter Marsden has called on fans to turn up in numbers for the Morecambe game and roar the lads to victory.

Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph ahead of the game Marsden said of the Friday encounter.

‘I would like to thank so many fans making the trip to York. The atmoshere was electric and the Stanley fans really helped to suck the ball into the York net. The finishing line for League Two survival is in sight, we probably need two victories. I would like to call on everybody, not just Stanley fans, but people across East Lancashire to come down to the game.’

Marsden also commented that the club were determined to keep their league position because of the hard work of those who have come before such as Eric Whalley and Jack Barrett.

Leaving the football league is not something they plan to let happen.
