ACCRINGTON Stanley held fellow midtable starters Chesterfield to a respectable 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon away at The Recreation Ground.

It took Jack Lester just 14 minutes to fire the ball past Stanley’s Scottish goalkeeper Kenny Arthur, slotting home a corner from the right hand side, elaving the Reds’ back four scratching their heads.

Stanley will come out of the game disappointed with just the one point though, after controlling the game in it’s majority, and would have been very harshly done by hadn’t former Liverpool youngster Jimmy Ryan levelled the scoring five minutes from the end.
