ACCRINGTON Stanley last night beat local outfit Clitheroe.
David Brown, Joel Shelmerdine and Robert Grant had put Stanley in to a comfortable lead, before Sam Heap pulled one back for the hosts.
Leighton McGivern added to the scoreline to restore Stanley’s three goal lead, Joel Byrom, who was a Stanley player just months ago made it 4-2 from the penalty spot, as he got his own back after thwe club released him.

The game saw an opportunity for John Coleman to cast his eye over trailists; Danish keeper David Olsen, winger Chris Turner and striker Liam Caddock, as he looks to build up his squad.
