Accrington Stanley have revealed major changes to their commercial department which they hope will drive up non football related income at The Store First Stadium.

A two person team, Faye Smithson and Mike Ferguson Jnr will take charge of all sponsorship, advertising and hospitality issues at the club and Chairman Peter Marsden told the Official Site reasons for the changes.

‘In the weeks to come we will be throwing considerable resources in to steeply driving income from non footballing sources.’

The Chairman adds that Faye has been at the club part time for a while and she’s more than demonstrated that she deserves the opportunity to take on more responsibility and her remit will be hospitality, overseeing the East Lancashire By Official Appointment Scheme and overhauling the Gold Bond scheme.

Mike will handle normal conventional income and sponsorship, but will also be tasked with maximising the internet options the club has and social media.

‘Crack the commercial and we will go a long way to making the club self financing and prosperous.’

In other commercial news, the home strip for the season is now in stock.

The Stanley Store has now taken delivery of the new home kit and they are on sale priced at £39.99 Adults, and £29.99 Children.

Those fans who pre-ordered shirts can collect them once the balance has been paid. Collection during office hours or before the game against Dagenham and Redbridge.

Internet sales are not yet permitted, but fans can email the club to order a shirt.
