An honest manager John Coleman has admitted that Carlisle were certainly good value for their one nil win at Brunton Park yesterday.

Their goal on 20 minutes proved to be enough to separate the sides come full time and a disappointed manager told the Official Site that unfortunately he had no complaints about the loss and the final scoreline.

‘I am disappointed. Carlisle deserved to win the game and we can’t argue with that. I feared for us this week to be honest and sometimes as a manager you just smell it. They were better than us in every department. I guess the small crumb of comfort is that you can see how far we have come in that they are time wasting for 70 minutes of the game. It’s the only crumb of comfort in that we are starting to earn more respect from teams.’

The gaffer went on to say in his after match interview that he knows Accrington are a lot better than they have shown over the last two games and he knows in those two games we just haven’t troubled the opposition keeper on nearly enough occasions, and more disappointingly we haven’t created the necessary chances, especially against Carlisle, who he knows are a team ‘leaking goals for fun’ so we should’ve done better and been better but it was one of those days.

‘They were up for the game and we weren’t so that’s disappointing. On the day Carlisle were better than us but pound for pound, they are not. They have outfought us and that’s hard to take from my point of view.’
