Accrington Stanley are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.
The performance by Accrington Stanley in the one nil victory over Plymouth Argule at the weekend at Home Park was enough to earn them a place as manager of the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.
I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Coleman was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.
‘Accrington extended their unbeaten run to 12 games, courtesy of a 1-0 win away at title-chasing Plymouth Argyle on Saturday afternoon. After two straight clean sheets with Aaron Chapman in goal, Coleman made the tough decision to recall Marek Rodak following his return from international duty, but it proved inspired, as the Slovakian stopper performed outstandingly in the triumph.’
It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Coleman for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.
