JOHN Coleman has admitted that it was his own side’s errors that cost Accrington Stanley the three points they craved when they travelled to Dagenham and Redbridge yesterday afternoon.
Stanley shot into an early lead with Bobby Grant slotting home after just five minutes, but an instant reply and goals either side of the half time break, meant that the Reds were condemned to a fourth successive defeat.
‘We scored a great goal, but then let them right back into the game after a couple of mistakes,’ said Coleman speaking to Talk Sport.
‘For an hour we were more than a match for them, but we couldn’t make the most of it.
‘At 2-1 I think we’re still in it but we gifted them a third goal, the keeper should have saved it, and they battered us after that.’
