JOHN Coleman has today admitted to the Lancashire Telegraph that he will have to break hearts this summer as he starts contract talks with his players.

Coleman is locked in negotiations with players that he is wanting to keep for the 2007/08 campaign, a group of players have already been offered one year contract extentions.

Only Paul Mullin, Rommy Boco, Shaun Whalley and Tony Grant have contracts that don’t need renewing in th summer.

‘If you ask any manager in the country, this is the week that they don’t like the most,’ said Coleman, speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph.

‘That’s because you are letting some players go, and you are trying to convince those players you want, to stay.

‘It’s difficult because you are letting them out of their job. I’m very close to the players and that makes it doubly difficult.

‘But you can’t let sentiment get in the way.

‘I’m going to speak to them all individually. I want to try and get it sorted out this week. You don’t want to be going away with things hanging over your head.’
