JOHN Coleman is targetting another two or three signings as his Accrington Stanley squad gets ready to take on Coca-Cola Football League Two for a third consecutive season.

So far, the only signings against Stanley’s name are those of Colin Murdock from Shrewsbury Town, Chris King from Total Network Solutions in Wales and John Mullin who looks set to clinch a deal with Stanley following his release from Tranmere Town.

Coleman is looking to sign a Championship striker on loan by the end of this week and could feature against Burnley on Saturday, should the striker not be from the Clarets themselves, with a certain Burnley youngster being mentioned in Jay Rodriguez.

Speaking to the Accrington Observer Coleman said: ‘We need a striker or two and, if we get them and another winger, then I don`t think we will be far short,’ said the Reds boss.

‘I am also hopeful of young winger Robert Grant this season. I have been impressed with his development and hopefully he can play a lot more games next season and have an impact that I know he is capable of.’
