JOHN Coleman has admitted that a move for Shrewsbury Town defender Darran Kempson is not on the cards after the club have been priced out of a move for the 23-year-old.

The defender who has had two seperate loan spells at the Fraser Eagle Stadium, the latest of which was in February of this year, when he made eight apperances scoring once.

But following the capture of two new defenders, he is out of favour with manager Paul Simpson at New Meadow and has been left out of the clubs Pre-Season trip to Spain and will instead train with the club’s youth outfit.

Kempson wrote on his facebook page that he may be moving to either Conference side Wrexham or Accrington Stanley as both were still interested in his services.

But Coleman admitted to the Lancashire Telegraph that he would be interested if the Shrews weren’t demanding a fee for the former Preston man.

“We`ve already got down that road with Darran – but we`ve been priced out of the market,” said the gaffer.
