ACCRINGTON STANLEY gaffer John Coleman has this morning (Thursday) signed Blackburn Rovers left back Mark King on a free transfer to add extra defensive options to his strengthening side.
King had been held in high regards at Ewood Park, and last season signed a professional deal, but after a succession of knee injuries, Mark Hughes aloud the 19-year-old to leave.
The left back can also play in the centre of the back four and caught Coleman and his assistant Jimmy Bell’s eyes during a recent training ground match against Stanley.
King, who came through the Rovers youth academy, will be available to play away at Stockport on Saturday afternoon.
