Crewe game called off

ACCRINGTON Stanley’s home game against Crewe Alexandra, as expected has been called off due to a frozen and snow covered playing surface at the Crown Ground.

The decision was made after a 2pm pitch inspection and so the Reds will have Boxing Day off and it is looking highly likely that Stanley’s game against Rotherham two days later will also fall foul of the weather.

A new date will soon be announced for the game.
