Accrington have confirmed that both James Gray and Shay McCartan will be unavailable this weekend after being called up for international duty.
Both players have now joined up with Northern Ireland’s under 21 side after they received the calls, so it means they miss tomorrow’s match against AFC Wimbledon.
Northern Ireland host Belgium first before travelling to Serbia next week for their second game.
Whilst it should be a good experience for both players again, it does unfortunately mean that James Beattie will be without their services for our next league game.
Both players will return in time for the game a week next Saturday with Oxford United.
Unfortunately for Accrington, clubs can only apply to have games postponed if they have three players called up for international duty, and only losing two means we have to suck it up basically.
