Former Wolverhampton Wanderers, Celtic and Cardiff left back Lee Naylor has signed a short term contract with Accrington Stanley today.

He was released by Premiership Cardiff City over the summer, and James Beattie has been able to convince him to join up with us on a short term contract until January I would presume.

The move is subject to clearance being received, and the 33 year old has been provisionally granted the No 27 shirt at The Store First Stadium.

If his clearance does come through in time, he could go into the squad for tomorrow’s game against Rochdale, but fans will have to give him time to get up to speed as his last competitive match came in January 2012 in the FA Cup.

Naylor has only represented three clubs in his career, making his debut for Wolves and being at the club for almost 10 year. During his career he has made 513 appearances in all competitions, and scored 14 goals in that time.
