Fletcher joins from Clarets

PROMISING youngster Wes Fletcher has joined Accrington Stanley onloan from Championship neighbours Burnley.

Fletcher joins the Reds on an initial six month loan contract although it is understood that the club may be able to call on an extention clause should Eddie Howe’s Turf Moor team not enter into a striker crisis.

The 20 year old striker has Football League experience after shot spells with Grimsby and Stockport County and will link up with Clarets teammate Kevin Long at the Crown Ground.

There could also be a third Claret joining in the coming days.
