Manager James Beattie is allowing four players to leave the club when their contracts expire this summer.

Midfielders Luke Clark and George Miller, along with striker Danny Webber and defender Lawrence Wilson will not be offered new deals at the club when their current contracts expire.

Speaking to the Official Site as Beattie makes his first real summer decisions having worked with the players for 12 months as gaffer now, he admitted that this wasn’t a part of the job he was looking forward to, but it’s football, and you just have to be professional and try and handle it the right way.

‘Making these tough decisions is one of the most unpleasant experiences of being a manager. I’d like to thank all four lads for their service and wish them all the best for the future.’

Clark and Miller both joined the club in the summer of 2012 and have gone on to make 13 and 33 appearances respectively for us in that time.

Wilson has made 35 appearances for us since joining in January 2013 having been signed by former manager Lean Richardson and Webber joined us last summer, scoring our first goal under James Beattie’s management against Newport County.

The other players out of contract this summer will be presented with new deals and further news is expected in the coming weeks.
