A GOAL Difference of -34 saw Accrington finish the 2007/08 League Two season in 17th position with 51 points on the board, but it has to be improved.
Accrington’s goal difference is the worst in the Football League and second if the Premier League is included.
Accrington Stanley have a joint second goal difference, with relegated League One outfit Port Vale, with Premiership side Derby County topping the chart with an amazing -65 goal difference.
Relegated Wrexham are third, followed by Reading and Gillingham in joint fourth.
1. Derby County, -69
2. Accrington Stanley, -34
2. Port Vale, -34
3. Wrexham, – 32
4. Gillingham, -29
4. Reading, – 29
Good job we weren’t fighting to stay in the league in the last few games, because with a goal difference like that, Accrington would soon be playing non-league football again with a doubt.
Come on John sort out the troops!
