ACCRINGTON Stanley’s young midfielder Robert Grant will today (Monday) see a specialist about a knee injury picked up in training last week.
The 18-year-old left midfielder who can also operate down the right of midfield started the first two games of the season, both at home to Aldershot Town in the opening League Two game and in the extra time defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Carling Cup.
Grant jarred his knee in training and was forced to miss the 2-0 victory over Port Vale at Vale Park on Saturday as John Miles replaced him in the starting line up.
The youngster made his Stanley debut away at Milton Keynes Dons at the end of the 2006/07 season and became the second youngest player to appear in the Football League for Accrington Stanley and the youngest since February 1959.
Let’s hope it’s not serious, eh?

Feel sorry for the lad, hope he isn’t sidelined for too long, especially just after he was coming into his own.
So what was the result, is he ok or did his leg drop off ?
