ACCRINGTON Stanley manager John Coleman has today completed the loan signing of Blackburn Rovers midfielder Rostyn Griffiths until January when the deal may be extended.

The 20-year-old Australian youth international can play in either the centre of the park or on the right of midfield, and arrives at the Fraser Eagle Stadium on the back of a loan spell with Scottish side Gretna last season.

Griffiths who agreed to join Stanley last week, couldn’t join the club until the loan transfer market reopened for the Football League. He scored against Macclesfield Reserves for Stanley last week and put in a performance that earnt him the opportunity to join Stanley.

He will link up with fellow Ewood Park frontman Jamie Clarke, who has proved a hit so far for Stanley, who bagged his first goal for the club in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat away at League newboys Exeter City at St James’s Park.
