ACCRINGTON Stanley manager John Coleman believes that not one single player ‘staked a claim’ for a starting berth at Rotherham, after Friday’s display against Blackburn Rovers.
The Reds fell to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of a Reserve side fielded by the Premier League side, but Coleman was left angered by the lack of togetherness displayed in the game.
Coleman told the Lancashire Telegraph: “The way to make up for it is win on Saturday. There are shirts out there to be won and I don`t think anyone staked a claim. I will have to go on what I think is right for that game.
“There is one bonus. Rotherham will have been here and they will think they just have to turn up on Saturday. They will be in for a shock.
“We have tried to build on an ethos this pre season of not being prepared to settle for second best, for themselves or each other, and up until this point it has been working fantastically.”
