Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it’s… JOHN COLEMAN! We’ve had a number of emails in from visiting supporters to the Fraser Eagle Stadium, asking who was the ‘big bloke’ stood on the scaffolding watching the game, so here’s your answer.

Where he was stood was Stanley’s TV gantry, where the Sky and ITV cameras were positioned to record the game, but why was he stood there I bet your wondering? Well as usual Vital Accrington is full of information so here is some more for you.

Coleman was stood up there because he was serving a touchline ban, and thought that it was the best position to get a view of the match, rather than sitting next to the chairman in the stands, and it also made communication easier between himself and his assistant.

Atleast he won’t have to wear a kilt whilst stood up there, god help us if there was a gust of wind!
