ACCRINGTON Stanley have this morning confirmed that a number of Football League outfits have enquired to the club about the services of striker John Miles.

A number of sides are thought to be chasing the 26-year-old midfielder come striker, with Milton Keynes Dons, who had Miles onloan for the last part of the season are leading the pack.

The midfield man made 12 appearances whilst onloan at Stadium:MK, scoring no goals, but is thought to have impressed his former Macclesfield boss and now MK Dons gaffer Paul Ince during his time there.

The clubs’ Chief Executive Rob Heys admitted that Miles could be on his way: ‘We have had a number of enquiries with regard to John Miles since he returned to us from his loan spell at MK Dons.

‘We will just have to wait and see what happens over the next few weeks.’

While Miles never managed to get his name on the scoresheet for Accrington Stanley during his 16 appearances, he did score 22 times in 121 appearances for Macclesfield Town, including an handful against Accrington.
