ACCRINGTON Stanley winger John Miles has this afternoon quit the Reds and will instead drop down a division to play for Blue Square Premier moneyboys – Fleetwood Town.

The former Macclesfield Town man had verbally agreed to pen a new one-year-contract at The Crown Ground, but just hours before the first team squad returned to East Lancashire for pre-season training, the midfielder decided it was time for change, and instead joined Town.

Miles will join former Stanley players Peter Cavanagh and Ian Craney at the newly promoted Fleetwood.
