FORMER Accrington Stanley loanee Adam Kay has today confirmed that he will be penning a one year contract extention with Premier League new boys Burnley.

Vital Accrington Stanley were the first news source to break the news yesterday and today it was confirmed that a new deal is in place.

Kay joined Stanley in March on a one month loan deal and only featured three times in the first team at the Fraser Eagle Stadium. The Burnley born youngster was an unused substitute on a number of occasions as the Reds went through a pick-up in form.

But the 19-year-old was handed his first appearance from the bench in the 3-0 defeat away at Brentford, which was followed by a place in the starting XI at home to Chesterfield.

Adam may be rejoining Accrington for an extended loan period next season, so keep your eyes peeled.
