DEFENSIVE duo Darran Kempson and Liam Richardson are set to leave the club after failing to agree terms on new contracts offered to them.

Kempson, who took a huge pay cut to join Accrington last summer, has insisted that he can’t afford to do the same again after being offered better paid deals by other League Two clubs.

Whereas Richardson has only been offered non-contract terms, and will only be paid if he plays, and considering his recent injury list, that could mean a lot of missed cash for the much loved full back.

Kempson will not be offered an improved deal and looks set to leave the club, and it is the same story for Richardson who looks set to move on, with Blue Square Premier newboys Fleetwood Town, the Manchester City of the non-leagues, interested in his services.
