ACCRINGTON Stanley have today wrapped up the signature of Total Network Solutions defender Chris King, after weeks of confusion surrounding the deal.
It was announced weeks ago that King would sign on the same day as Colin Murdock, but the time came and passed as no news came from the Fraser Eagle Stadium about King.
It turns out that the player was on holiday, and linked up with his new team mates on Monday as Stanley reported back for Pre-Season training.
The 27-year-old was voted in the Welsh Premier’s team of the season last time out and is held in high regards by the management staff at TNS.
‘This was the first offer I’ve had from a Football League club for a long while,’ said King speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph.
‘It was something I couldn’t turn down.
‘I’ve been in the League of Wales for the last six seasons, but I was looking for that new challenge in the Football League and that’s exactly what I’ll get at Accrington Stanley.
‘It means playing with better players in front of bigger crowds every week. That’s something I’ve always wanted.
‘I’ve got a few League games to catch up on my dad, but this is a start for me.’
So two signings in the bag, a third coming in the next few days and a number of offers on the table, it looks like a bright summer for Accrington Stanley.

You feel good ahead of next season?
Yeah, two good defenders in now, looks a lot better.
Should do well in League Two if he’s been voted in the League Walse team of the season.
So they won’t be dancing in the streets of The New Saints as they are now called.
