Leam Richardson has said he is disappointed that we couldn’t see the season out with a win, but we survived relegation and that’s all that counts for him this season.
Speaking to the press following the 3-0 loss to Oxford Leam admitted that the squad were disappointed to go out on a loss, but.
‘I can’t be too negative as the players have been fantastic. Perhaps this was a game too far but I have to give the players credit and it’s nothing short of a miracle what they have done.’
It was a good run in by the players with how the season went, and Richardson has also admitted that he hopes to keep a number of the players at the club so we can start building some stability and cohesion in the team, which will allow him to add quality in the areas we lack without in effect trying to reform a whole squad every summer.
Getting that stability and understanding in the core of the team as we go from season to season, he knows, is the best way for us to continue to develop as a team and hopefully establish ourselves in the middle of the table, before pushing on further.
