ACCRINGTON STANLEY have this morning officially signed Scottish footballing legend Asa Harford as Reserve Team Coach.

Harford will work alongside Stanley’s Director of Youth Phil Hackney, aswel as taking up the role as manager of the Reserve string.

During a very successful playing career, Harford donned the shirts of Manchester City, Nottingham Forest, Norwich City, Stockport County and Premiership outfit Everton.

In addition the former Scottish International has enjoyed spells with Bolton Wanderers, locals Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City in coaching roles, including caretaker boss jobs.

Accrington Stanley’s Centre of Excellence has only been going one season, but is already growing and improving and will next season be competing in a national Centre of Excellence football league.
