ACCRINGTON VITAL FOOTBALL continue in the recently launched opinionated section of the site, which asks fans visiting the Fraser Eagle Stadium to send their thoughts.

We are looking for the following aspects to be included in the article…

1. Why you were looking forward to going to the ground? (Or not as the case may be).

2. How easy was your journey/finding the ground/car parking.

3. What you did before the game pub/chippy…. are home fans friendly?

4. What you thought on seeing the ground, first impressions of away end then other sides of the ground.

5. Comment on the game itself, atmosphere, stewards, entertainment at half-time, toilets etc..

6. Comment on getting away from the ground after the game.

7. Summary of overall thoughts of the day out.

So lets get the ball rolling…

Myself and my husband attended the game at Accrington on February 2nd. It was our second time to your ground.

We set off at 08.30am for what was a very pleasant drive. The weather turned for the worse just north of Manchester.

Parking was not a problem as we had been there before. We had a very pleasant lunch at the pub next door, this included a lively conversation with a number of your fans which was very amicable.

The game itself was a bit one-sided. We are playing well at the moment and it showed.

The stewards were all very personable. A disappointment on our first visit was the food available – I thought you Northerners all loved a good pie!

Due to the inclement weather, the trudge through the car park was a bit treacherous – if the temperature had dropped before the end of the game we would have been skating on ice!

The away end, in the summer, is OK but after a 4 hour drive, having to stand is a bit of a drag. So the option to sit would be appreciated, particularly when you are over 50!

Overall, we thoroughly enjoy our visits to Accrington. Your people are all very friendly and the pre/post match conversations are enjoyable.

We wish you well for the future.
