ACCRINGTON STANLEY will play host to Champions League Semi-Finalists Liverpool on Monday evening in the Lancashire FA Canterbury Senior Cup Semi Final.

The game takes place on Monday 28th April at The Fraser Eagle Stadium, with a kick off time of 7:00pm

Stanley have got so far with away victories over both Blackpool and Preston North End from the Championship. Liverpool however had an easier route to the Semi’s, recieving a bye in the first round of the competition, to beat Wigan Athletic in the second game.

‘Although the match will undoubtedly be contested by some of the reserve side, there is a rule that so many first team players have to play so there will be some fringe members of the first team squad.’ said Stanley manager John Coleman.

‘It will be an excellent opportunity to take on what will be a very talented side. I have great memories from the Lancashire FA Junior Cup as a non-league player and manager and so it would mean a lot to me and to the club to get to the final of the Senior competition which is for the Football League and Premier League sides of the area.’

Matchday Prices at the Fraser Eagle Stadium:

Adults…………. £6
Concessions… £3

The winner of the game will play Manchester United, who beat Bolton Wanderers 2-1 last night (Thursday).
