SKELMERSDALE United winger Sean McConville has signed for Accrington Stanley for an undisclosed fee on an 18 month contract at the Fraser Eagle Stadium shortly before the close of the transfer window.

The youngster who is thought to have snubbed a move to Luton Town before the switch to East Lancashire although he has had a host of Football League clubs watching him after a run of superb performances for Skem that has seen him score fifteen goals in thirty appearances.

The 19-year-old who came through the Burscough youth academy is eligible to make his debut in Saturday’s clash with Luton Town.
