JOHN Coleman has pounched to tie up the signature of ex-Accrington Stanley player Lee McEvilly, following his release from fellow League Two side Wrexham.

McEvilly, 25, joined Stanley from local rivals Rochdale in 2004, following a highly successful loan spell at the Fraser Eagle Stadium.

His Stanley stay didn’t last long and a year after joined Stanley, he was leaving Stanley to rejoin the Football League with Wrexham.

The capped Northern Irish International started out his career with Burscough, before moving on to Rochdale at the end of 2001.
