Padraig Amond has said that Lee Molyneux’s goalscoring exploits have taken his team mates by surprise, but he’s played a huge role in our changing fortunes.
Speaking to the media following the goals the defender by trade has scored, Amond said.
‘He’s been doing really well. The amount of goals he’s scored has been a bit of a surprise for us because when he initially came he was a left back. But he was pushed further up and since Rochdale his confidence has been sky high. He’s been a very big part of what’s happened over the last seven or eight weeks.’
Amond admits that he feels it’s time he and our other strikers got involved and started chipping in and doing their fair share of sharing the goals around, especially now that other teams will be watching him and potentially double marking him, it will create space for others and they must take advantage of that.
