MORECAMBE are in talks with Accrington Stanley over a possible transfer of Paul Mullin, with Shrimps manager Sammy McIlroy a keen admirer of the 35-year-old.
Although no deal has yet been reached, McIlroy is very keen to puysh the deal through before the end of the transfer list, and Mullin could miss Stanley’s clash with Shrewsbury Town as he heads for talks.
‘We have made enquiries about Paul Mullin and had a few talks,’ McIlroy told the club’s official website.
‘He is a player I like because he has great experience, holds the ball up well and can score goals as well.
‘I would like to have him here but we will just have to see if we can agree anything before the transfer deadline at the end of the week.’
