LEEDS United goalkeeper Alan Martin will not be joining Accrington Stanley unless the two clubs can strike a deal in the coming days as John Coleman searches for a new stopper.
The Reds have been left with a gap in their squad following the departure of number one goalkeeper Kenny Arthur to divisional rivals Rochdale, and manager Coleman had made Martin his top target as a replacement.
But League One outfit Leeds are currently unwilling to let the 20-year-old leave Elland Road whether it be on loan or permanently.
The Yorkshire club told Stanley that Martin would not be able to leave until they could get a new ‘keeper in themselves, which has left Coleman with two options; hold on for a few days longer to see if they can make a deal or whether to look at other options.
