With the game with Mansfield Town on Tuesday took the chance to talk to a Stags fan. We would like to thank fan Russ Clarkson for talking to us.

1. Do you personally think Stanley can stay in League Two? And do you think Mansfield can survive the drop?

Selling your best players (Roberts & Craney) doesn’t help your plight but you have given us 2.5 good games so far this season and I’ve been suprised where you are the league.
As for the Stags, now Billy is back at the helm, he can turn things around and started well on Saturday @ Hereford and brought in 2 experienced strikers in Conlon & Gritton – mid-table would be realistic, although if we don’t get a result v Accrington tuesday night, then
Walsall saturday, it could look a bit gloomy again!

2. Give a short description of your club, e.g. nickname, year of establishment, ground name ect.

A short description of MTFC would be ‘A club in crisis’. Our Chairman (who attended 1 game this season!) quit his role last week, the owner of the club & Chief Executive Keith Haslam is THE most hated person in Mansfield, he wants to sell the club (after 14 yrs of misery) OR close
us down! Nicknamed The Stags, Established in 1897 and became a Football League club in 1931-32 in Third Division (South). We play at Field Mill, which is very close to the town centre, unlike the trend of some clubs to stick their new grounds in the middle of nowhere! It was redeveloped at the turn of the Century and currently holds Approx 9,990.

3. Will you be making the journey to the Fraser Eagle stadium on Tuesday?

I can’t make the trip Tuesday as I work shifts, but will be listening on BBC Radio Nottingham or Mansfield 103.2FM

4.Did you make the journey a few weeks back when the game was abandoned?

Unfortunately I didn’t make the trip a few weeks ago either, but will hopefully make the trip next season!!

5.Who do you think will come out on top (win)?

I hope we win, but to be honest, I think another draw is on the cards .

6. Predict a score….

I’ll go for 1-1 with Conlon scoring for us and Todd (who has played for our local Non League side Hucknall) for you!

7. Anything else you need to say….

Good luck with the website and on the pitch for the rest of the season!
